Existing PubPub users have the option to migrate to a different platform or to self host PubPub Platform. We do not currently recommend self-hosting PubPub Legacy, as it was not built for this purpose and requires many proprietary dependencies, deployment settings, and other requirements that make it cost and time-prohibitive to manage for individuals or small teams. A hosted version of PubPub Legacy will be available through December 2026. 

We will be shutting down the centrally hosted version of Platform at the end of 2025 and assisting existing users in transitioning to self-hosted instances or other platforms of their choice. If you are interested in self hosting PubPub Platform, please email help@pubpub.org.
